Missed the ride due to silliness. Who needed that Delphi day trip anyway, right? I’ll make an even better, more efficient itinerary that takes me north without bringing me back to Athens. My destination selections made it difficult to not retrace my steps. The planning wasn’t quick and easy as I had hoped it’d be. I needed a break.
I packed up my computer and mapped out the SafeStay Hostel for view and planned to walk there. But once on the street, I went to Syntagma (Constitution) Square, from there I turned on Fileninon and then right on a street that took me to the Plaka. Once there, I noticed several travel agencies. Should I just let them inherit this task from me?
I walked right by a couple of agencies and entered one that felt right/good/inviting/whatever it was. And the lovely people at Lumen took great care of me. I now have the following itinerary:
Thursday the 7th: 7:30 am a bus will swing by the Titania hotel to pick me up to take me to Delphi. Leave for Delphi via Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova on the slops of Mount Parnassus. Arrive in Delphi and visit the archeological site. After the visit, depart for Kalambaka, passing through picturesque villages and towns of central Greece. Dinner and overnight.
Friday the 8th: Visit Meteora and enjoy a unique and most impressive scenery with ageless monestaries containing priceless historical and religious treasures, standing betwen sky and earth on top of huge rocks. Roni will go to the bus station and figure out whether she takes the 2 pm or 5 pm KTel bus to Ioannina. In Ioannina, stay at the Hotel Brettania, breakfast included.
Saturday the 9th: Hang in Ioannina until I decide to go to Thessaloniki. Stay at ___________________________. See this show: _______________.
Sun the 10th: Figure out what you’re doing and for how long.
Figure out whether you’re flying to Chania or Heraklion. Car prices may be the deciding factor.
Go to Crete and drive around until 4 am on Monday the 18th.
