And after all these years living in Oregon, I finally made it to Bend, OR. I made sure my route would include Bend since I have heard only good things about this city.
Today is also the day that I dreaded the longest planned drive of the trip. There was no better way to split things up, as the ground I covered today was mostly wilderness. The drive got pretty intense about midway, when I realized I’m not passing any towns or gas stations.
For years, I’d heard how fun Bend, OR is. I could have checked into the hotel as early as 3 pm and made it to the Fall Festival, but I stopped at Costco for gas (no gas at this location), a replacement card (no can do, printer malfunction), and more grapefruit cups. By the time I checked in, the festival was nearly over. I drove by, but didn’t see a reason to stay. So here I am, uploading videos on a Saturday night.
